We may also expect our guests to follow certain protocols confirming their attendance, arriving on time, and dressing appropriately.

Why do Catholics Genuflect?
What is Genuflect?
Genuflect means to bend one knee and briefly touch it to the floor.
We genuflect as a sign of respect and worship.
It is like saying, “Jesus, I honor You!”
As Catholics, we believe that Jesus is present in a special way in the Blessed Sacrament.
Look for the Tabernacle in the church.
When we enter or leave the church, we genuflect toward the Tabernacle when the Blessed Sacrament is reserved there.
How do we know that Jesus is present in the Tabernacle?
A burning red or sanctuary lamp near the tabernacle is a sign that the Blessed Sacrament is present.
Even without saying a word, our actions can show God that we love Him.
Jesus is our King, so we kneel before Him with love and respect.
Genuflect slowly and reverently.
We don’t have to rush. Next time you genuflect, take a moment to say:
“Jesus, I believe You are here.
I love You and I adore You.
Amen.”

Almighty God Creator of the universe, we humbly seek Your protection from all approaching storms. Calm our hearts, cast away our fear, and keep our families and homes safe. You command the elements and bring us peace.
We thank You in advance for Your protection and ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. Matthew 8:26: "Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
